About Me
Hi! My name is Terrence Digel, I’m currently 20 and a sophomore at Western Washington University. I was born and raised in Seattle, WA, where I first fell in love with the outdoors. My passion for hiking was passed down from my father, who took me on my first hike, Pratt Lake off the I-90 corridor. Since then, I have done 100’s of hikes throughout Washington, Oregon, California, British Columbia, Maine, New Hampshire, and Japan. I created this blog to share my journey as I attempt to complete bigger, more remote, and far more challenging peaks.
Right now, I’m working toward my bachelor’s degree in English with the intent of becoming a teacher and, one day, a professor. I’m currently working on multiple hiking books; the first is “The 100 classical hikes of Washington,” and the second is “The challenge of Southern Pacific Range.”
I’m currently working on completing the 5 volcanoes in WA, Mount Hood, and some major BC peaks: Wedge, Skihist, Queen Bess, and many more. Some peaks I’d like to complete in my lifetime are Mount Cook, Mount Waddington, Denali, and the Gunnbjorn Fjeld. So if you're interested in reading about my hiking journey, this blog may be for you!
